Spectral imaging technology is the development of new technologies in recent years. In this paper, research method of the present traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) fingerprint. Some exploratory experiments were carried out. The transmission spectrum is presented on the use of TCM detection and fingerprint construction. A new method is provided to study medicine evaluation and quality control. A new technology is provided to construct fingerprint.This article outlines inspection status of the traditional Chinese medicine fingerprint. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the current TCM fingerprint construction and medicine detection. Designed and developed a transmission spectral imaging system including source selection, the choice of splitter, receiver selection, the choice of data processing software and testing method. System parameters and performance were tested. Chinese herbal medicines were detected and spectral images of samples were fitted.Transmission Spectral imaging analysis was carried out for Coriex Phellodendri chinensis and Radix Panacis quinquefolii etc using designed system. The results showed that:there were significantly different among Coriex Phellodendri chinensis and Radix Panacis quinquefolii and other herbs. And there were also have significant differences between the herbs and berberine. The results indicated that the spectral imaging system designed be used to the identification of TCM.Using designed system, Application design and control system of Ur herbs, medicinal herbs Andrographis, and identified Ramulus Uncariae cum Uncis and Andrographis paniculata and discussed its genetic relationship. The results showed that the transmission spectrum imaging test results of TCM consistent with the classical classification results in the double-blind conditions. It proved that spectral imaging technology can be used for authenticity of identification of medicine and pieces, but also proved that the system can be used to identify medicinal plants and plant genetic relationship. And it has a practical significance to further research quality control of Chinese medicine.In this paper spectral imaging system designed is a device that be used in the visible continuous spectrum. Spectral imaging is a new detection method used in building fingerprint. System testing is fast, accurate and non-destructive. The same sample can be repeatedly tested. The fingerprints constructed are exclusive and characteristic, stable and efficient. Application in the field of detection medicine is broad prospects. It is expected to produce widely used in medicine, research and monitor all aspects of clinical treatment.
