In recent years, with the rapid development of spectrum technology, spectroscopy has been applied to many fields, especially to life sciences. This application promotes the development of interdisciplinary subjects such as optics-biology and optics-medicine. At present, the technology of spectrum is widely used in diagnosing diseases of biological tissue. Spectral characteristic of biological tissue is used to judge whether the tissue is pathological or not.Based on the present research home and abroad, the characteristic of absorption spectrum, fluorescence spectrum and faint fluorescence image detecting of blood is studied experimentally and analyzed in this paper. New medical diagnostic techniques are offered, and the research has a prospect with very practical applications. This paper mainly focuses on the following areas.(1) Serum and whole blood are illuminated using light of different wave bands, the faint fluorescence images of serum and whole blood are detected and the relationship between excitation fluorescence and the wavelength of excitation light source of serum and whole blood is studied in certain frequency range.(2) The faint fluorescence images of normal serum and abnormal serum are researched under the same experimental conditions and are analyzed utilizing image processing software self-programming.(3) The absorption spectra of normal serum, hyperglycaemia serum and hyperlipidemia serum in UV-visible range are studied and the spectrum differences between normal serum and abnormal serum are analyzed.(4) The fluorescence spectra of normal serum and abnormal serum are measured, and the spectrum differences between normal serum and abnormal serum are discussed. The results of the research indicate that it is convenient and efficient to diagnose certain diseases of blood using spectral analysis technology, and all of these provide experimental foundation for diagnosis of diseases through blood analysis.
