Objective:The objective of the study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy used in the stroke recovery period by random control test and compare the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy mainly used in treatment group and acupuncture therapy principally used in control goup.Methods:60cases of stroke recovery patients met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria were randomly divided into acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy treatment group of30cases and the acupuncture treatment group of30cases. The acupuncture acupoints and method of operation of two sets were the same, including the conventional drug treatment. The two groups were treated five times weekly, resting for two days, lasting four weeks. After treatment, the clinical efficacy was measured by neurological deficit score, activities of daily living score and MMSE simple cognitive function scores.Result:The total effective rate of acupuncture group was83.3%, and that of acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy group was93.3%, and the difference was significant through the statistical analysis of Ridit(P<0.05), suggesting that the efficacy of acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy group was better than acupuncture group. The results of neurological function and activities of daily living score group before and after treatment analysed by paired t-test had statistical meaning (P<0.01), but the results of MMSE simple cognitive function scores were different between the two groups. There was no statistical meaning of the acupuncture group before and after treatment, but the results of acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy group were significantly different (P<0.01). The difference between the two group measured by independent samples t-test was statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusions:(1) Patient's age and basal disease can impact the rehabilitation progress, but there are still lack of evidences for the role of season in the stroke's onset;(2)The theory of "left blood and right qi" should be used properly, and a part of our research give some support to this theory;(3) The clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy in the treatment of limb dysfunction after stroke is affirmative, the combination of the two treatment is synergetic;(4) Single acupuncture and acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy can be effective to improve stroke status of the patient's limb dysfunction and life skills and former's clinical efficacy is better than the latter from the observation after treatment;(5) Acupuncture combined rehabilitative exercise therapy can help the improvement of cognitive function in patients in a certain extent.
