| The modulation theory of kidney is an important part of viscera and its sign theory in ,It is a theory on essence,Qi,yin and yang of kidney regulating circulation, respirraon,digestion,urinary,spirit and other functions when keeping self-homeostases.lt can also modulate the every physical activity in accordance with the changes of nature which is embodiment on human body self -control. It pays emphasise on the the occurrence, development, and formation of modulation idea of kidney which also highlights on the mechanisms, as well as contents, characteristics. It combines the season and time with the modulating mechanism of the whole body which has great significance on guiding treatment of renal disease, regimen and health care.Firstly,we study the modulation theory of kidney genetically and theoretically.The auther believes that bringing forward the renal regulating theroy is history inevitable in modernizing TCM theory of zang and xiang. Classics renal zang and xiang includes regulation Idea, which experienced three stages: beginning-- anatomical kidney , evolvI ing-renal zang and xiang produced by QI regulation, maturing-- renal zang and xiang produced by yin-yang and five elements regulation .The xiang of kidney substantially includes the sign of appearance ,QI regulation, yin-yang and five elements regulation whereas zang of kidney is known by mastering zang through sign and appearance,which is a functional structure formed in the course of body regulation in accordance with the seasonal changes. That is to say it has direct or inderect or complex relationships with all the systems and organs, as well as isn't constructed by entity element and can not be seen by morphology method^urthermore it is based on partial functions of above systems and organs,and has a feature of uncertainty, fuzziness,intercross.Once formed,it can modulate NEI netlt may be a physiological regulating model in the higher levels.The contents of the theory cover that the renal basic property and spontaneously tendency is modulation which embodys the higher intention of conditioning defensive mechanisms in human body. Physiological and pathological phenoma are the different performances of renal self-stable regulation.Diagnosis and treatment of renal diseases pay emphasis on inspection and promotion of it's mechanism of self-stable regulation. The feature of its'adjustments are: self-stable regulaiion4ntegral harmony, integral optimum,dynamic order,diversity of regulating passageway ,complexity of regulating mechanism ,able to control of the adjustment The renal regulating theory is neither equal to the renal zang and xiang nor to NEI and signaling transducting theory.Secondly, we study theoretically the meaning of modulation mechanisms of kidney responds to the winter from the point of view that kidney stores essence and controls reproduction, and for the first time we put forword that the mechanism of the reproductive power of kidney descend responding to winter maybe the result of adaptability changes of regulating and controlling essance by kidney which include essence store, change, discharge and respond to winter. The essance stored in kidney can be devided into two regimentations - materials that promote or inhibit reproductive essance regulationarilly. In winter, the kidney stores inhibiting reproductive essance increase, while stimulating reproductive essance drop, so the reproductive essance stored in kidney reduce, as the result, the kidney turning the essance into energy and discharging repro-due five essance decrease, meanwhile,representing reproductivity drop.This phenomenon is a self-control reactive mechanism of biology formed during the long periods in adaptation to nature to preserve themselves and to avoid the injuring from nature.
