Sustained Release Capsules Of Polygonum Cuspidatum Extract (tcm Ii Class Of Drugs) To Treat Cardiovascular Disease

The study was based on the results of pharmacological screening. The effective components in Huzhang (Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb.et Zucc.) that can dispel Blood stasis and stop pain were studied. We gained a monomer by extraction,isolation,refinement and purification with the techniques and methods of chemistry of TCM. This monomer was identified as Resveratrol after being measured by UV,IR. NMR. MS and compared with references. Cardiovascular disease is frequently happened among people. Patients with this kind of disease need take medicines for a long period of time. According to the characteristics of cardiovascular disease,ve not only developed Resveratrol sustained release capsule for the aim of raising bioavailability,reducing dosage and dosing frequency,lowering side effects and increasing patients' affinity to the preparation,but also had assessment to the in vitro and in vivo process with the help of modern pharmaceutical technology. Thus,we improved the curative effect of this preparation,made clinical application more convenient and explored the methods and trains of thought in the study of Resveratrol sustained release capsule.In the course of our study,we used the method of single factor design and the method of orthogonal design to screen out our method of extracting,isolating,refining and purifying Resveratrol. Also,we did comprehensive research in the screening of preparation,optimizing of technique and pharmaceutical characteristics of Resveratrol capsule and sustained release capsule. We created the index and method of quality assessment:completed the investigation on preliminary stability;discussed the releasing rule andmechanism of the preparation;established the method of measuring Resveratrol in animal's blood and did research in the pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of Resveratrol preparation in the body of rabbit. Our study verified the releasing characteristics of Resveratroi sustained release capsule and its preferable bioavailability in the body of rabbit. We preliminarily complete the developing of Resveratrol sustained release capsule and established the scientific foundation for further research in the herbal sustained release preparations.
