| Objective: l.To review the TCM documents related to Stroke and try to find out relationship between etiological factor and mechanism of stroke according to the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine in order to inherit the points on treating and preventing from stroke in TCM. l.To system review the diagnosis, treatment, prevention of ICH, and to provide beneficial assistance for clinical decision making. 3.To evalue the safety and effects of ZhongFengXingNao Oral Liquid on patients suffered from acute cerebral hemorrhage through randomized controlled clinical trail. Methods: 1-Analysising and Summarying the views on etiological factor, treatments and prevention written in the history of TCM documents. Retrieve reports on AICH during the last few years, to analyze and summary the commonly agreements in order to get the conclusion of treatment and prevention of AICH.2.Fifty patients suffering from AICH were divided into treatment group and controlled group(25 patients in each). The control group was given general therapy; the treatment group was given ZhongFengXingNao Oral Liquid 30 ml per 6 hour a day besides the general therapy. The neurological functional defects at admission after onsets month 1 and 3 were evaluated with modified MESSS and NIHSS. The activity of daily living after onset day 10 and month 3 was evaluated with Barthel Index. Evaluation of therapeutic effectiveness was done with the decreased percentage of MESSS, NIHSS at 1, 3 and BI at month 3. Side effects including blood-ratine, ECG, hepatorenal and renal dysfunction were observed during the observation. Results: 1 .The stroke has been observed and recorded particularly in the TCM documents, the mechanism of the desease was founded after long history from extrinsic factors to inteinsoc factors and the combination of the two sides. Now, which is based on XU mixed Phlegm and Blood Stasis, and conjugated with the wind and fire . The ideal of that the prevention of the disease is more important than treatment of the disease is useful today, either. 2.In the last ten years, the pathophysiology , the methods of diagnosis and treatment have got rapidly progress. But no effective therapic method has been founded. 3.Cornpared with those of the control group, the decreased percentage of MESSS or NIHSS of the treatment group after onset at month 1 and 3 were higher than those of the the control group. The scores of BI of the treatments group after onset at month 3 were higher than those of the control group. The main factors of that influenced effectiveness of drug were ages, groups, the scores of the NIHSS at amdission, hemation volume,the scores of medical history, blood pressure at amdission, blood sugar and lipid.Side effects were not founded in the treatment group. Conclusion: 1 .Inorder to herit and develop the TCM, we should summary the documents related to TCM. For no effective methods were founded to treat the stroke in the last ten years, we should carry out our clinical study and experiments according to methods of Evidence Based Medicine to find out the treatment window for surgery or medicine and got the best results including the methods of decreasing the incidence rate, improve the prognosis of ICH significantly. 2.After we finished our clinical trail, we found that ZhongFengXingNao Oral Liquid can been used to treat acute cerebral hemorrhage, which would reduce the neurological functional effects of the patients and improve the ability of independence of those patients.
