The regeneration of peripheral nerve,which does not occur in isolation,is the process of outgrowth of axon from the proximal stump to distal one.As a general tissue response to injury,local cells,infiltrating cells and extracellular matrix are all involved.Schwann cell(SC)which includes bionomics such as proliferation,migration,excreting many types of active masses is a kind of characteristic glial cell in peripheral nerve system(PNS).There is distinguished functional diversity in SC,as promotes regeneration of axon in PNS.In microenvironment for regeneration,SC can regulate myelinization,myelination and formation of extracellular matrix by contacting axon.When peripheral nerve injuries,SC which is very important for regeneration of peripheral nerve proliferates and cleans degeneration product with macrophage. The relationshiop between SC and axon breakthroughs the whole process of the regeneration of peripheral nerve.More and more scholars emphasize the relationship between SC and regeneration of axon.To discuss the relatioship between SC and axon further,we designed the experiment.The study of environment for regeneration is focused on relationship between Schwann cells and axon Regeneration after Peripheral Nerve Injuries.We studied regeneration of different conditions of nerve regeneration chamber,which includes four differentgroups(A1:0.9%Nacl;A2:Mitomycin+Laminin;B1: Mitomycin;B2:Laminin).we observed gross change of hind limbers after pripheral nerves,the change of morphology by different special stainand ultrascructure at 28 day,changes of indirect immunofluorescence of Anti-NF-200 and Anti-GFAP,Anti-BrdU-200 and Anti-Laminin at 7,28 day.By that,we can not onlyunderstand the relationship between SC and axon better,but also exploit the relationshio between SC and regeneration of axon to reform the prothetic effect of peripheral nerve,which can provide theorial basis for appllication of SC in clinic.We concluded that there was intimate relationship between SC and regeneration of axon after Peripheral Nerve Injuries.Proliferation of SC which is necessary for regeneration of peripheral nerves promotes migration of SC and regeneration of axon;The regeneration of peripheral nerve without SC is non-functional regeneration and limited;After peripheral nerve injuries,the change of SC is prior to axon,SC inhibited meaning the generation of axon reprerssed decrease the number of myelinated nerves finally;At the earlier stage of regeneration of peripheral nerve,the proliferation of SC inhabited will influence th regeneration of peripheral nerve,exogenous laminin promote proliferation and migration of SC and direction of regeneration,as is very important for regeneration of peripheral nerves,but not wholly.We think SC is very important for the regeneration of peripheral nerve,the regeneration of axon depend on SC mainly,exogenous laminin is not strongger for the regeneration of axon than SC,which provides support for the regeneration of axon.
