Translation And Introduction Of State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory 2 And Study Of Influencing Factors In High Trait Anger

Objective:Because the function of high trait anger in diseases induced by anger is unclear at present, it is explored by combination with stress theory. Due to lacking of the instrument to study the anger in China at present,State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory 2 is introduced and translated,and its applicability is examined in Chinese; Due to neglecting the psychological mechanism of anger in TCM at present,we explore influencing factors in personality,coping style and social support of people with high trait anger.Method: Document analysis and epidemiological survey was used. Speilberger's State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory 2 was translated and revised,as well as different occupational people were assessed. The inventory's reliability was verified by Chronbach'sαcoefficient and its structure validity was verified by factor analysis,convergent validity and differential validity. The population were differentiated by susceptibility of anger by STAXI-2 and were assessed by Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, Trait Coping Style Questionnaire and Perceived Social Support Scale. The data was analysed byχ2test and Logistic step regression. Result: Being a sort of personality characteristics, high trait anger was an important condition for the diseases induced by anger. Chronbach'sαcoefficient of each scale was ranged from 0.597 to 0.929, which showed favorable internal consistency. Factor analysis, convergent validity and differential validity revealed that the STAXI-2 in Chinese could reflect and distinguish state anger,trait anger and anger control constructs. But it is not suitable for the discrimination of anger expression because of cross-cultural-adaptation. So the STAXI-2 in Chinese needed more revising. The gender, age, marriage, education and occupation had no correlation with high trait anger by theχ2 test. There were significant difference among Neuroticism,Extraversion, Lie, state anger (P<0.01), and as well as between negative coping stycle and active coping style ( P<0.001).Conclusion: Transplantation and revises of Speilberger's State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory 2 were introduced firstly, which offers an effective and sensitive instrument for anger assessment for Chinese researchers. It is hypothesized that high trait anger is the main personality characteristics and important condition for the disease induced by anger. the reason producing high trait anger is because Qi and Blood of liver is too plenteous and circulate upwards; extroversive and unstable personality, less concealing and taking negative coping strategy are psychological characteristics of people with high trait anger. Our study provides new mechanism in diseases induced by anger, which can prevent and cure emotional diseases more effectively, as well as provides new theory tread.
