Study On The Hospital Business Process Management

Hospital business process management can be identified as the theories and methods of business process management expanded in the hospital areas. It is the systematic methods be aimed to continuously advance the hospital performance and improve the quality, efficiency, cost and patient satisfaction of business process, its core is to standardize clinical business process. Hospital business process management is a new type of management. But yet the studies on hospital business process management still focus on the operating level and the studies on the fields of theories is at the exploratory stage. This dissertation gives an overview of state of the field and significances based on the development of hospital business process management and emphasizes on the field of theories, mean while, pays attention to the practice capability of technique. The main contents of this dissertation are listed below:This dissertation benefits from philosophic theory of CIMS, disscusses the applicability of CIMS in hospital business process management, investigates the system structure of hospital business process management and in the terms of CIM-OSA sets up the three-dimensional system structure model based on the multi-view and business process life cycle. Then, the dissertation analyses the dimension of the process life cycle,the dimension of view and the dimension of support and constructs their corresponding models.This dissertation analyses the hospital business process life cycle and establishes the models in the view of function, process, organization, resource and information on the basis of the model of multi-view and business process life cycle.Guided by the three-dimensional system structure, the dissertation researched in the respects of design, cost analysis and performance appraisal of hospital process along the hospital business process life cycle, then investigated the work model of hospital process design based on CE, the operating model of hospital process ABC, the costing model and performance indicator system. The dissertation also studied the tool of management from the dimension of suport ,included the method of QFD,ABC and DEA.The purpose of this study is to think out the management tool in the nature of operability and practical value.The study guides the idea of business process life cycle information integration to the hospital information system. After analyzing the integrated demands of the process-oriented hospital information system, the dissertation sets up the model of information integration, puts forward the integrated infrastructure for hospital business process management based on PLMS in order to improve the isolated island of information and the limitation of traditional integration.
