There are interconnections between Early Husserl's philosophy of arithmetic and logical investigations. It is the main objective of this dissertation to reveal these interconnections, and show Husserl's approach of phenomenological breakthrough.Early Husserl's philosophical inquirings are concerned about some particular questions, which change from arithmetic of whole number to formal arithmetic, then to pure logic. At the same time, his philosophical methodology transfer from descriptive psychology to phenomenology. In this transference, the leading question is how to understand the formal things, included formal objects, pure formal concepts, formal rules of calculation and inference. Compared to "Philosophie der Arithmetik" the breakthrough of "Logische Untersuchungen" in this question has two aspects. On the one hand, the ideal objective nature of formal things is acknowledged, on the other hand, the question of how these things can be given or be realized in subjective consciousness is answered without distorting their nature. The main body of this dissertation is divided into three chapters, whose topics are "philosophy of arithmetic", "pure logic" and "phenomenology".The second chapter, which deal with early Husserl's philosophical investigations about arithmetic, consists of two parts. The one is descriptive psychological analysis of the concept of number, the other is logical clarification of calculation and symbolical method of arithmetic. At the very start, Husserl believed that the justifiability of the whole arithmetic can be provided by concept analysis alone. But he realized that it was wrong when he set about to make logical clarification of general arithmetic or algorithm, for they can overstep beyond the sphere of number. At the same time, Husserl found that he needed to revise his conception of logic, and then altered his research domain from arithmetic to logic. In the third chapter, the revision conception of logic is investigated, which include a special structure of triple level:logic of Kunstlehre, pure logic and phenomenological logic. The ideal objective nature of formal things is acknowledged in the pure logic, which is a theoretical discipline to study the combining laws of formal things. The domain and tasks of pure logic are defined in detail, it's interrelated or relative independent components are also investigated. Husserl's anti-psychologism is brought out in the end, for psychologism conceived that psychology is the foundation of logic, and have no idea about pure logic. The forth chapter turn form pure logic to phenomenology, to answer the question of how pure logical things be given or be realized in subjective psychological acts or consciousness. The difference of the manner of deal with consciousness between empirical psychology and phenomenology is first received treatment. It is the doctrine of intentionality which made a phenomenological essential research about consciousness possible. Early Husserl think about the question of intentionality from two different approach, which combined into one doctrine in "Logische Untersuchungen", one of whose character is the interconnections of intentional acts, intentional objects and ideal meanings. At last, phenomenological origin of formal things is also illustrated with the help of the doctrine of intentionality.
