Study On Configurations And Its Operation Of Basic Form Of Oracle Bone Inscriptions

Empirical research is the basic reason of development for the study of character grapheme, but it does not get best attention in philology, because the academia did not get coincident views to these problem. So we should make some change, put the focus on the dynamic theory of analysis to Chinese characters proposed by Professor Huang Dekuan, which mainly practiced best tradition of writing textual research and explication into theoretical study.The theory of Dynamic analysis of Chinese, which inherited from Chinese Character pattern analysis of traditional Chinese philology, focuses on full usage of character materials, and on introducing more scientific theory in the field. Then with this prerequisite which is done to make philological studies of individual Chinese characters, the theory takes these scattered characters as a system to investigate them from the angle of historical level, dynamic change and character structure, observes their practical usage of the corresponding period to their changes in history, then discovers the development and adjustment of these characters and the change of this tendency in Chinese character evolvement. The theory's goal aims to find out objective law of diachronic evolution of Chinese character's formation. The thesis can be divided into two parts, in which the first part mainly discusses forms and meanings of basic oracle bone inscriptions. On the basis of new achievement of the studies and textual research, the paper puts basic forms of the inscriptions into two types, which every type is classified according to the order of the head, representative form, classic sense and examples of practical usage and their forms. In the research, we will testify the experience of the predecessors, delete some senses without support of examples, add these senses with examples, then sum up some specific study be attaching table of the usage.On the above basis, we continue to further discuss. In the second chapter, we comb out predecessors' related theory. Then by the light of theory of self-explanation and classification proposed by Huan Dekuan, the paper makes some discussions about rules of sub-types of pictographic characters of pictographs and self-explanatory characters, which are studied detailedly in the following two chapters. In the fourth chapter, with the help of related data, we further study phenomena of borrowing, burden of word senses, analyzing rationality of classification of the inner structures of pictographic characters of pictographs and self-explanatory characters from the relationship of form and sense point of view, including similarity and difference between sub-types, possibilities of character formation adjustment. The fifth chapter, grounded in dynamic theory and research data, discusses some key questions, such as maturity of oracle bone inscriptions, adjustment approach of word formation and its inner reason, and definition of Chinese characters system etc. Then the paper gives some conclusions for the oracle inscriptions on the tortoise Shells and animal bones in pictographic characters of pictographs and self-explanatory wordsThe second part is a mosaic compilation, which shows the practical relationship between forms and meaning and their actual working situation for the oracle inscriptions on the Tortoise shells and animal Bones in pictographic characters of pictographs and self-explanatory words. Service conditions of word meaning are attaches to the thesis's appendix, which could help or for these specialists' reference.
