The omen of imperial examinations plays a significant part in imperial myths for the ancient literati and officialdom. It mainly includes three types, which are signs in nature, language prophecies, and signs in dream. The meaning of the omen actually shows the faith for Fatalism, retribution for sin (karma), and the ghost culture. While the divination such as Fuji, Mirror Listening, Word Analysis, Geomancy, and Physiognomy is a further extension of imperial omen culture. In the imperial prophecies culture, the carrier, the subject, time, space are tightly assembled. Besides, some beliefs are widespread, such as lucid ganodermam, locust tree, the dragon, the flower pen in dreams and "colored faiths"; at the same time there has a complex with the "Imperial Scholar" and "dukes". As to the time, it mainly appears in the Imperial prosperous period; while as to the space, most were concentrated in the prosperous south, which are closely related to the traditional officialism and shamanism in South.
