Undoubtedly, creation and innovation have become an outstanding theme of our era. The creativity is the factor that determines victory or defeat, success or fail between different sides of competition. The level of creativity being high or low can be reflected in the ability of finding and solving problems, which is high or low. So it is of importance for theory and practice to go deep into researching the close relation between problem and creation from the theoretic standpoint. This dissertation is just based on this sort of thinking. It does not emphasize the importance of creation, and its goal is to provide a scientific and resultful problem methodology for creative cognition. The concept of problem is the very heart of this research. The dissertation elaborates the relation between problem and creative cognition, which includes how we can improve the level of creative cognition through using the method of creative thinking, how we can apply the problem methodology in creativity cultivation, etc. On the whole, several sections as follows constitute the dissertation: Introductory chapter presents brief explanation about the genesis and meaning of this research. At the same time, it also presents more adequate definitions of creation, innovation and problem. This dissertation has given meticulous analysis of correlation between creation and innovation, creation and creative cognition, problem and creation. Thus it determines the main research methods and basic content of this dissertation. I review the history and current situation of problem researches in chapter one. Every scientific inquiry must be grounded on its previous researches, and this research is no irregularity, in this chapter, the main thinking mode is to follow the thinking of important thinkers to do some systematic work about thoughts of problem in the history philosophy, logic, methodology, philosophy of education, philosophy of science and Marxism at the beginning. Next step is to analyze and summarize achievements worthy of attention about research of problem and creation in 馿lds of psychology, artificial intelligence, information management engineering and logic. At last, according to the current situation of research about problem and creative cognition in Chinese philosophical research circles, an initiatory tentative plan to raise a problem methodology from the conscious- ness of problem has been presented. Chapter two elucidates the interrelation among practice, problem and cognition from the standpoint and views of Marxism. The Marxist epistemology upholds that practice is the source of cognition, the motive power of the engendering and progressing of cogni- tion, and the sole criterion for testing truth. Under this sort of recognition, the dissertation is based on an inspection of relation between problem and cognition, and distinguishes common cognition ftom creative cognition. It makes out that as achievement of cognition Ii? the problem, which is the starting point of creative cognition, provides dynamism for creative cognition, and is also one of the evaluation measures of creative degree in cognition. Problem has close relation with cognition (including creative cognition), so does practice. This dissertation compares the former relation with the latter.
