All art creation activities require human body and express body on the other hand, while body expression must be undertaken with the accompaniment of movement of internal senses , thus the structural relations between body and movement is the issue that has to be studied when we are engaging art practice . Based on the comparative study on both Western and Eastern soma theory, this paper has given an all - round analysis on relations between body and art, which is of important realistic value for us to better understand the basic law of art expression - transmission - reception and any modem or post - modem phenomenon. From the modem soma theory which includes soma - psyche integration and mind - impersonality conjunction, the paper also dips into the substantial commonness of all art forms; fine arts, dancing, and music, leading to an reasonable explanation of a regular proposition: "dancing is the mother of art" .The paper consists of five parts: I . The body as a "field" - the sense origin of art expression; From the apocalypse of master' s self - portrait to the connotation of modem "body" , this part then leads to the comparative study of Western and Eastern soma theory. E . Body's emotional movement - the engine of art expression; From the use of body structure, action senses and emotion in art expression, this part deeply addresses the order of noumenon's internal experience - significance of "body rhythms" in art creation and reception. IE . Art formation and body' s internal imitative movement; From the re - understanding of ancient Creek Imitation Theory, it studies the significance of body synchronized imitative movement in art formation and aesthetics reception, which gives a new explanation to that antique proposition. IV . The body character of imagination tells that fancy is the relation between the thought sketching of body's internal sense movement and creative findings. V . "Body illustration' s construction of aesthetics and culture" , which dissertates the meaning of body illustration's construction in art creation and reception, thus accomplishes the explanation to the body features of art creation, transmission and reception.
