The points of this thesis base on interpretation of basic facts of Sino-Foreign lacquer arts communicating and exchanging in ancient time. The early exchange of Sino-Foreign lacquer arts was one-way exporting of China. We have to admit that it is the lacquer culture of Huaxia Nationality that fed the lacquer arts of most regions of the world. When lacquer spread over the whole world as a kind of creating material and art media, people in different countries learned from each other, mixed together and improved together, making contribution to the continuing development of the common culture behavior of human society. The technique and expression skills of lacquer became the spiritual and material treasure of the world.The lacquer arts of different countries formed their own artistic styles and technique features according to different social and material background. We should point out at the same time we emphasize the unique contribution to the world lacquer arts made by Chinese ancient lacquer arts: the lacquer arts of different regions of the world not only had their special advantages but influenced the Chinese lacquer arts as well. The history of Sino-Foreign lacquer arts exchange began long ago. These exchanges were double -way, which promoted and consummated the artistic forms and techniques of both sides, which also expanded the living space of lacquer arts. Because of the above reasons, the lacquer arts can develop continuingly in the complicated new environment and under the new conditions with the development of human society. The author drew the conclusions by all the studies: exchange is the lifeline of lacquer arts. The thesis will use most part of itself to support the points above. Meanwhile the comments and analyses on lacquer arts are focused on the beatifying function of lacquer, for the long evolution of lacquer techniques happened mostly according to how to make it more beautiful, which is also the major premise of the spread of lacquer culture in the world.
