The so-called "Modern Neo-Confucian" in this thesis refers in particular to a trend of a scholastic thought or a scholastic community lasting 30 years from the May 4th Movement to the People's Republic of China being founded. It not only carried forward the Chinese traditional culture, especially the Confucianism essence, but also mixed together with the western cultural spirit of modern times. Liang shuming, zhang Junmai, Ma Yifu, Xiong Shili, Feng Youlan, He Lin and Qian Mu are its leading representatives. The cultural outlook on Modern Neo-Confucian is rich in its contents, but what is discussed in this thesis focus on the following three aspects: cultural metaphysics, Chinese cultural outlook and western cultural outlook. What are the principles of cultural development? , including those to the nature and embryology of the culture, etc.. In the cultural metaphysics of Modern Neo-Confucian, the monism of mind is a main stream of ontological forms. "Chinese cultural outlook " refers to the thoughts and theories about China, which is an important part of cultural outlook on Modern Neo-Confucian. From diachronic perspective, it involves economic outlook, social outlook, political outlook, scholastic outlook, and so on. On the other hand, from synchronic perspective, it consists of Chinese traditional cultural outlook, Chinese realistic cultural outlook and Chinese futuristic cultural outlook. Among them, the scholastic outlook includes an outlook on science, on life, on morality, on philosophy, etc.; the Chinese traditional cultural outlook an outlook on Confucianism, on Taoism and on Buddhism. It can be said that the Chinese cultural outlook touches upon extraordinarily wide-ranging contents, in both diachronic and synchronic perspectives. Aiming at the thoughts and theories about western culture, "Western culturaloutlook" also shows the characteristic of extensive contents as "Chinese cultural outlook" does. Modern Neo-Confucian scholars frequently discussed learning, science, politics, etc., which permeated through the cultures of old-Greek, Christian and modern and contemporary times. Centering on the above aspects and further studying the casework, this paper reveals the text implication of cultural outlook on Modern Neo-Confucian and at the same time, based on the vision of contemporary theories, investigates its reasonability and limitations of history and reality, which provides us with an important reference to the development of Chinese culture in the 21st century. There are nine parts in this thesis.Introductory remarks are an overall study of Modern Neo-Confucian and its cultural outlook.
