This dissertation, based on the fruits of the study concerning the impact on the social development by the current information technology and back grounded against the robust growth of current information technology therefore causing information revolution, focuses on the method of production in a bid to analyze and state the influences on traditional productive force, production relation, modes of production and the law of production relation adapting to productive forces in both theory and practice. Therefore, this dissertation, aiming at the providence of the theoretical proof for our national socialist modernization drive, exerts practical summary and theoretical exploration on the contradiction of the modes of production between tradition and reality against the information technology, the development trend and the needed measures. The dissertation includes five parts. The first part is introduction. It mainly states the background of the dissertation option, the role of the study, the logical frame and the study method along with the creative efforts and phrase fruits relating to the dissertation. The second part is the first chapter. It is the foundation of the whole dissertation, paving a complete background for the philosophical analysis of the information and information technology. First, it carried out the theoretical statement and philosophical penetration in respect of the meaning, characteristics and function, to illustrate the concept of information actually has three different meanings: first, it is the information in our daily life, second it is the information in natural science and the third one is philosophy, which points out that information is the sign of the indirect substance in philosophical sphere, and is the self appearance of the substance( direct substance ) in aspect of substance manner and state. Besides, this chapter also states the difference and relation of information and substance, information and knowledge, information and spirit and goes on to the exploration and summery of the self being, self conduction, reproduction, adherence and sharing of information. Due to the special character, information enjoys such functions as confusion removal, hint, delivery, conformity, assimilation and economy. Further more, this chapter conducts summery and reasoning on the development mechanism of the information technology and its historical standing, pointing out that one reason for the transformation of our human society from the agricultural society to industrial society and to the information society is the restless development and general appliance of science and technology. The information technology, with its tremendous penetration ability, stunting development speed, high capital input, fierce competitiveness, high grade risk and crucial strategic standing, enables our human society to display a double trends, that is, virtuality against reality, symmetry against asymmetry, communion against monopoly, and evolution against degeneration. This part also carries out a succinct summery of the impact on productive force, production relation, and modes of production by information technology, which constitutes a good foundation for the subsequent parts.The third part is the second chapter. It mainly focuses on the argumentation of the impact on productive force by information. First, it analyzed and argued the promoting role to productive forces by information technology and its penetration, conformity, optimization to other production factors, therefore, pointing out information technology is not only gradually becoming the dominant factor in the development of productive force, but also is the " first for ever productive forces".
