This dissertation makes controllable and non-controllable verb of am-do Tibetan language a target for study. Starting from the point of view of theories concerned with traditional Tibetan grammar as well as modern linguistics, by combining with the fruit of research in am-do Tibetan verb both by internal and oversea researchers and using the approach of describing, inducing and analyzing, it mainly studies the grammatical feathers of am-do Tibetan's state of being controllable as well as non-controllable. The whole text is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is introduction. It mainly discusses the theoretical as well as applying value of the chose subject and introduces the applied research approaches and related research development in a relatively detailed way. It also gives in bare outline a description of difficulties questions that exists in research as well as new ideas brought about in research.In the second chapter, it mainly elaborates or the concept, range and negotiation of am-do dialect verb's state of being controllable and non-controllable, discusses and analyzes threes dividing standards: interior intricacy, verb's different adding components and its capability of forming imperative sentence. It also discusses the concept of controllable and non-controllable verb of both Tibetan traditional grammar andmodern linguistics as well as their differences and similarities. On the base of describing phonetic change of controllable and non-controllable verb, it analyzes and plaints their phonetic change way, the pattern of their collocation with negative words, their relationship with aspect and their historical evolution.In the third chapter, from the mutual relationship between the semantic category of controllable and non-controllable verb and grammatical category of internally as well as externally caused change of state verb. It mainly explains and analyzes the concept, range, dividing standard, grammatical forms, categories as well as historical evolution of am-do dialect verb both internally and externally caused change-of-state. Upon this basis, it explains the similarities, differences as well as overlapping points of controllable and non-controllable verb and verbs, which are both internally and externally, caused change-of-state.In the forth chapter, from the complicated relationship between controllable as well as non-controllable verb and transive as well as intransitive verb. It explains clearly the concept and range of am-do dialect verb's state of being transitive and intransitive. If also analyses such grammatical features as seven categories of transitive verb. Five categories of transitive verb. Five categories of intransitive verb and three categories of intransitive verb. From the point of combining. Tibetan traditional grammatical theory with modern linguistic theory. It analysestheir relationship with case.In the fifth chapter, starting from the relation between controllable and non-controllable verb and syntax. It mainly discusses three kinds of relationship between controllable and non-controllable verb and sentence, i.e their relationship with substantive, adjective and verbal senates, and also with sentence with active voice and passive voice. Upon this basis, it gives separate discussion about controllable verbal sentence , non-controllable verbal sentence and common observation of both controllable and non-controllable verb.In the sixth chapter, starting from the relationship between verb's state of being controllable and non-controllable and relative language, it mainly discusses the similarities and differences between controllable as well as non-controllable verb and phonetics, ordering from and aspect category in such language as Tibetan, Pumi, Zhaba Chinese and Miao.It also includes the similarities and differences between the category of verb and verb phrase, so as to prove and list their characteristics as well as the common nature of verb of the whole sino-Tibetan family.The last chapter is the conclusion.
