| Liao Yan was a very special ideologist and litterateur at the beginning of Qingdynasty. His literature action not only embodied brightly the character of the times,but also showed the characteristic personality that exceeded the limit of thespecifically times in many aspects. Liao Yan had been neglected for two hundredyears after he died owing to a variety of reasons. His importance just was found littleby little until Qing dynasty ended. This thesis is the first paper that studies the life, the thoughts and the works ofLiao Yan roundly. The paper has four chapters. The first chapter introduces the lifeand the thoughts of Liao Yan mainly by two steps. Firstly, the chapter textualresearches the extraction, the life and the association of Liao Yan to understand hispersonality and the times he lived and to make the base of his thoughts study.Secondly, the chapter studies Liao Yan's thoughts most including his philosophy,historiography and education. Because it is the base of Liao Yan's behaviors, studiesand writing. From it we can not only seek Liao Yan's special understanding to societyand life but also discover the deep meaning in his productions. The second chapterstudies Liao Yan's poems. This section discusses several representative topics in hispoems such as the drinking, the Zhuzhici, the Shanjushi and the reflecting reality.These topics are discussed from the first section to the fourth and the fifth section isthe pandect. The third chapter studies his essays and the design similar to the secondchapter. Several representative topics such as the preface and postscript, the booknotes, the biographies and the miscellanies are discussed from the first section to thefourth and the fifth section is the pandect that is about his achievement in theliterature to do an advisable judge to his essays. The last chapter studies his literaturetheory. It discusses his most valuable literature theory, for example the Xingqinglun,the Fenqishuo, the relations between the creation and the experience, the literaturecriticism value, the significance of the Xiaopinwen, the design and the afflatus ofessay. |
