This article did some attempted research for the social consumption in Qin and Han Dynasties based on the direction of Marxist Political-Economics and the data of literatures and archaeology. And there are six chapters divided into four parts as the following:In the first part i.e. the first chapter, the class-demarcation and distinctions of the economic incomes of the consuming groups are discussed. In this article the consuming groups are divided into three main classes—the noble and the official, the landlord and the owners of industry and commerce, the peasants and the other laborers; Also the distinctions of the economic incomes and personal wealth possession in the different classes are discussed. By the above analysis, we can thoroughly discuss the economic basis of the consuming needs, the evolution process and the reason of the consuming idea at that time.In the second part, the life consuming conditions of the substances and spirits are discussed which can be seen more details in the second and third chapters. Also the evolution and development trends of the living consumption for the different classes are discussed, such as the spirit amusement, education, religious beliefs and so on.In the third part, the basic characters of the consuming condition, the relationship between the consumption and the all-economic factors at that time are discussed which can be seen more details in the fourth and fifth chapters. Considered in the article there are the obvious dynastical characters, such as curve fluctuation, the increasing of the commodity consuming proportion, the serious gulf between the rich and poor, the town ahead the country's consuming in the community consumption of Qin and Han DynastiesIn the fourth part, i.e. the last chapter, the government actions to the consuming problems and the relationship between the consumption and the community are discussed. Due to there were many serious consuming problems in Qin and Han Dynasties, such as excessive luxury and extravagance, the death prior to the living, the consumer's rights violated seriously etc., the governments adopted some countermeasures to restraint those bad phenomenon, for example, adopted the consuming hierarchy system against excessive luxury and extravagance, strengthened the consuming guidance to call for the thrift consumption, strengthened the market supervisions to protect the consumers' legal right and so on. All of these policies brought on the active social influences at that time and reflected Qin and Han governments' active actions on the consuming problems. In a word, this article discussed the relationship of the consumption and the community, and revealed some particular characters in Qin and Han Dynasties by the acquaintance to the consuming problems.
