This dissertation is researched about the Hugurci, a type of narrative-singing genre in the Horcin area of the east Mongolian, and its special music in modern history. This paper can be divided into seven parts: the first is written about the social context of Hugurci, their music and the reason of fluctuation, the factor of driving force. Second, the internal structure of narrate system of the Horcin area, and its relation between local conception and their life. The third is about performance of Hugurci, which includes the essence of composition and oral tradition. The forth is concerned the practice of these characteristic of oral traditional music. The fifth part expresses the meaning and function of performance, and the relation between them and context. The sixth is talked about the relation between Hugurci and local tradition. The last part of the dissertation is researched of how the Hugurci and its music present and change in contemporary.
