| The existence of Zhaungzi, not only a great philosopher, but also a talented writer, is a miracle in Chinese Culture. He'd shaped the character of ancient scholar and set up the foundation of Chinese literature tradition. However, it is a pity that the research today on Zhuangzi from a philosophic perspective is more systematic and profound than that from the view of literature. What's more, the evaluation of Zhaungzi himself mismatches his actual contribution to Chinese traditional literature. So, based on the text of Zhuangzi loyally, this dissertation is trying to have a comprehensive analysis through the different but connected perspectives, to excavate and reveal the literal spirit from not the skills but the 'Tao'.The preface briefly explains the purport, basic content, material, research status as well as the research method of the thesis. The author tries to visualize and embody philosophic theory, fulfill the philosophic concept with life and bourn, poeticize and glorify the character of Zhaungzi in Chapter I. The adjacent chapter reveals the outer reasons which shaped Zhaungzi from epoch feature and culture support while Chapter HI explains the inner reasons from linguistic perspective and the way of expression. The next chapter brings the point of view that "SanYan" is a kind of metaphor, and we regard it as an important key to unlock the door of Chinese culture. And all of the technical terms and phenomenon of Chinese Culture belong to metaphor of broad sense. The most important contribution of Zhuangzi is that his deepening, developing, richening, altering of the notion of metaphor. Compared with other contemporary scholars' work, Zhaungzi's fables are also fairly particular. The last chapter is supposed to discover the mystic connection between Zhuangzi's philosophic points and literature character from a universal perspective and the discussion spreads mainly from the three layers such as concept of infinition and romantic style, thought of materialization and art of transformation, relationships between the god and human beings and mode of narration. |
