A Forgotten History Of Literature Writer

The object of this thesis is Wang Ci-hui, a poet in later part of Ming Dynasty and his poetry. By the way of textual- research thoroughly, this thesis investigates on his family's genealogy, lifetime, works and social life, and then gives a new explanation. In the unity of content and form, the paper studied the aesthetic feeling and describes the charm for Wang ci-hui's poetry, seeking its unique quality and meaning in the history of literature from the historical clue of Chinese poetry development.In foreword, this paper states sources and valuation of the selected title mainly. Wang ci-hui was a poet appreciated by numerous readers, whose poem had been prevailing twice during the period in later Ming and early Qing Dynasty, the later Qing Dynasty and the early stage of Min Guo. A lot of famous scholars such as He Shang, Yan Sheng-sun, Zhu Yi-zun, Wu Lei-fa, Yuan Mei, Xu Zhen-ya Yu Da-fu,Bing Xin, Qian Zhong-shu, Rong-Jing-He-Feng and so on, appraised his poet, and his poet affected Wang Shi-zhen's poet ,Na-lan Xing-de's ci ,Xia-xie-xiao-shuo of late Qing, the popular novels of Republic of China, etc. But researchers had paid little attention to him. He had not been mentioned in current works of Chinese literature history. Wang Ci-hui is forgotten by the literature history because we often stress on morals standards and literature evaluation based on this kind of literature idea of function by education mainly. We can promote review to literature evaluation criterion in the past time by researching Wang Ci-hui.Part one of this thesis is a textual research. It investigates on Wang Ci-hui's family genealogy, lifetime, works and making friends, etc. This thesis identifies Wang Mao-kun who is Wang ci-hui, but now some researchers regard Wang Ken-tang. There are nor less than 41 editions of Yi-yu-ji which fall to 16 groups,of which is the earliest edition of Hou Wen-can. That is father of other editions. Yi-yun-ji was falsed on the basis of Qiong-hua-shi-ji and Qing-hua-ci-ji written by Yu Ting-ying in later part of Qing Dynasty. The thesis comes to the conclusion that Wang Ci-hui was born in 1593 in Wan-li period of Ming Dynasty and died in 1642 in Chong-zhen period of Ming Dynasty. The thesis also makes sure that Wang Ci-hui got married with He-shi no later than the year 1612 in Wan-li period of Ming Dynasty, not the generally admitted year 1615 in Wan-li period of Ming Dynasty. Wang Ci-hui, worked as a guider in Hua ting in 1636. The paper also studies Wang ci-hui's social life, researched with new material of genealogy of Yu's family.
