The Chinese Contemporary New Literature, from its first decade to the second, had got even more abundant cultural meaning and various patterns. Literary publication joined and supported not only the authors and readers, but also the cultural genres and thoughts. If we say the May 4th new literary publication in large measure lay on the publishers' emotive agreement with the May 4th Movement, the new literary publication in the 1930's, however, established the production system and even lead the new literature to exceeded the single fettle and went to the social production. The fundamental laws of modern publication can be found in the publishing of new literature in the 1930's, as well as the commercial and cultural logic. The publishing activities in that period adjusted itself according to certain social environment, and showed variegated vision of literary production. The left wing literature sparkpluged revolutionary literature; its realization was up to the production and circulation of literature. The Jing School advocated the literary idea of liberalism and pure literature. They rebuked the Hai school for being "commercial sales". In fact the Jing School had not been apart from commercial market either. Even Shen Congwen, who firstly enkindled the argument between the Jing school and Hai School, his literary activities also showed the commercial character. All the three schools' value and meaning were in no doubt restricted by the productive style and system of literature. Some publishers organized literary publication with all useful modern marketing methods in order to gain more commercial profit. At the same time, the publishing of new literature in the 1930's was considered as a special creative activity which was beneficial to social progress. In 1928 the argument of revolutionary literature between literary magazines improved promoted the spread of the left wing literary idea. The Camel Grass and the Literature Magazine most brightly expressed the cultural standpoint of the modern intelligentsia.
