This thesis teases the venation of the spirit of avant-courier in the novels since the middle of the eighty from the point of view of the literary magazines, focusing on the tide of avant-courier literature in the eighties. As a whole, though the literature of the eighty had a vivid character of tiding, the development of literature was not so simple as the textbook of literary history recorded. Through the special prism of literary magazines, the thesis not only refracts the historical vicissitude and the synchronous framework of the avant-courier literature, but researches the living condition of the literary magazines advocating the avant-courier literature on the reverse in order to supply one mirror for the development of the present literary magazines .the reason for analyzing the interplay of the avant-courier literature and literary magazines is that the thesis tries to reveal the multiplicity and complexity during the development of the avant-courier literature , to discover some literary truths covered with the literary criticism and the textbook of historical literary, and further to ponder their status, effect and limits in the development of literature in the new period.Introduction: the evolvement of the "avant-courier" .This part not only expounds the meaning and the present research condition of this word. but distinguishes the difference of three words: " avant-courier'". "the spirit of avant-courier" and "the avant-courier literature". The thesis aims at seeing about the dynamic course of the aesthetic evolvement and diffusion of the avant-courier literature and studies the influence from many facts such as the social ideology, the cultural structure, reader's interest and so on.Chapter one: prowling and rising. During the development of avant-courier literature, there are some dedicate changes of the species of the literary magazines advocating the avant-courier literature that more and more important literary magazines published the avant-courier novels such as harvest, the people s literature and so on. The theses emphasizes on probing into the roles and effect of all kinds of literary magazines and drawing the outline of avant-courier literature.Chapter two: falling back or escaping. After the nineties, almost all the avant-courier writers gave up their formal exploration and shifted to dig the historical theme. However, compared with the former ones, their historical novels have differentcharacters, in fact, they are the blend of the avant-courier novels and the new true-life novels. This falling back of the avant-courier literature had to do with many factors' influence such as the ideological adjustment, economic transformation, and consumptive culture. The avant-courier literary magazines are also more and more interested in making public slogan and plotting the literary tide after experiencing the fashion of reforming the magazines so that they substitute the market-oriented aesthetic taste for the spirit of avant-courier. When the spirit of the avant-courier is becoming infamous and the end of collective avant-courier maybe means the rebirth of the real avant-courier.
