Choice is an essential characteristic of human being. Human being build up its life and create itself by choice. In the value-plural modern society, people encountered the complexity of choice, while the value of choice is upgraded. It is a fundamental problem for every one to question that how to exhibit human nature by choice. So, moral education, which takes spirit civilization as its nature, could not avoid concerning the question of choice. Guiding people to make moral choice should become the ultimate mission and pursue of moral education.However, in the cooperation of moral relativism, appetencyism and instrumental rationalism, moral education deviates from its nature of spirit civilization. As a result, moral education does not fulfill its obligation, but aggravates the absence of moral value in choice. Moral education which should upgrade human spirit led to the degeneration of human nature. Dominated by lechery and prejudice, people have no other pursue except indulging in practical profit, idolizing dolce vita, satisfying bourgeois life. They take this life as real life and the value of life. Human being lost the will and motive to transcendence. So, the life becomes chaos, out-of-order, perplexed, vacuous and hopeless. The nature of moral education decides it's the fundamental force to reject bourgeois and guardian nobleness. Moral education should say "no" to bourgeois.Choice need educational horizon in order to realize its educational value. Freedom is only the premise of choice, which could not guarantee a right choice. Good construct educational horizon of choice. Only in the process of questioning good and being after good, choice can make people growing. Only in the process of pursuing good, moral education can guide people choice a worthwhile life, and promote the growing and perfecting of moral-self. Choice and guiding construct the practice of moral education commonly. The freedom of choice is the premise of moral education. Guide is the basic way of moral education. There is always a tension between guide and choice, which embodies the necessity and possibility of moral education. Moral education goes forward under the tension.Owing to the inefficacy of rule education, moral education should turn to virtue education. Virtue education surpasses but not completely denies rule education. Only virtue can make choice become moral choice and good choice. Aristotle's virtue ethics is not an outdated theory, but a worthwhile theory for modem moral education to draw enlightenment from. Public life is the groundwork of personal choice, while it is necessary for virtue growing. It is not correct to regard virtue growing as private affairs. Turning to life world of moral education is not to echo ordinary life, but still keep its transcending nature. Virtue education per se is good life.Moral education is full of unknown and likelihood. Moral education should guide people to make prudent choice and choice good life, so to promote the growth and perfection of moral-self, exhibit the excellence, preeminence and goodliness of human nature. This is the obligation which moral education should fulfill but unfulfilled.
