Research On Chinese Marked Constructions Based On Social Cognition

This paper discusses three Chinese marked constructions: address,circumbendibus and focus, focusing on their social factors ,based on social cognition. The research tropism is interpretability. There are five chapters in all.Chapter One is the introduction.The introduction first gives a description of the research object sociolinguistics, then, introduces three factors of social cognition: power, solidarity and dialog strategy, at last, illustrates the methodology of sociolinguistics and the research importance of the paper. especially,The socialization and structural treatment of datum is very important. These are the theoretical prerequisites of this paper.Chapter Two is the address construction of Chinese.This chapter first reviews the research of Chinese address, then, analyses two sorts of Chinese address constructions: lǎo(老) + X, cognitive address construction. The lǎo + X increases solidarity, its generative mechanism is the grammaticalization; the cognitive address construction increases power,its generative mechanism is gestalt apperception.Chapter Three is the circumbendibus construction of Chinese.This chapter first review the research of Chinese circumbendibus, then, analyses two sorts of Chinese circumbendibus constructions: Bù(不)+degree adverb, Yoǔ(有)+ NP. These two constructions increase solidarity. The generative mechanism of the construction of Bù(不)+degree adverb is attention decentralization. The generative mechanism of the construction of Yoǔ(有)+ NP is the face effect.Chapter Four is the focus construction of Chinese.This chapter first review the research of Chinese focus, then, analyses three sorts of Chinese focus constructions: unwonted position sentence, quasi elliptical sentence, Bǎ(把)-construction. The unwonted position sentence increases solidarity, its generative mechanism is context iconicity motivation; The quasi elliptical sentence increases power, its generative mechanism is distance iconicity motivation. the Bǎ-construction is classed into two sorts: the disposal construction and the Bǎfocus sentence. The disposal construction increases power, its generative mechanism is structural iconicity motivation. the focus of the Bǎfocus sentence. Is new information.Chapter Five is epilogue.This chapter is the final chapter and a conclusion of the paper. There are two problems here, one is the importance of the paper fruits, the other is something connected with the grammar research of sociolinguistics.The paper constitutes a coherent whole with the social cognition theory running through all the chapters.
