19 29: Association With Disaster Relief

SummaryIn order to show the interactive relationship among nature, society, government and individual, this article places the Group Providing Disaster Relief by the People from Henan Who Live in Beiping, G.P.R.P for short, in a scene of a certain society in certain period. In basis of describing the movement that esquires from Henan are united to relieve the victims in disaster, the author begins to discuss the concerning issues. The main issue is that in what circumstances and how G.P.R.P came into being during the concerning period, just as problem as how to relieve people. During discussing, the author has also deal with the problem that why local forces from Henan province spring up, and how to influence the State of Government.The article consists of five chapters as follows. In chapter 1, the author deals with the origin of G. P. R. P. Through its president Minxiu. Li's movement in both Beijing and Henan, we can understand why the esquire from Henan become into a union. By all appearances, President Minxiu. Li plays the most important role in it.Chapter 2 begins to study social circumstances in which G.P.R.P comes into being. On condition that the State of Government has no capability to relieve people from disaster, the visitation of providence or a natural calamity, as well as man in ruins, makes countrymen who were born in Henan province connect with one another, thus a social network for relief comes into being, which has beyond the borderline of provinces during relieving days.The last three chapters mainly describe the movement for relieving people, which including fundraising, buying provisions, and migrating victims to three provinces in the Northeast China. In this part, the author tries to show the development of relieving and some activities behind the curtain. Here we can see that G.P.R.P looks like a network of which consists individual. The network not only expends interiorly, but makes itself connect with the other relieving groups, thus helps greatly the movement of relieving because more and more resources have been inset the network by groups and its members.In concluding part, the article has deal with the interaction among local consciousness, relieving movement, and the network of powers, as well as the localism that spring up in later-days. Finally, the author has discussed the gain and loss of the social network analysis which is applied to the article.
