The political covenant in ancient China, became its typical model in Chun'qiu era. And a great change happened in Zhan'guo era. It also played an important role in the establishing and falling of Han dynasty.In Chun'qiu era, the political covenant combined the league of feudal countries. By the covenant, a sort of pure principle was used to keep the peace in the league.In Zhan'guo era, there was no more a reliable long term league. And countries lost their faith on covenant. But covenant are still used widely. Diplomatic agents from commonalty weaved a new international web. In their world, the covenant spirit was kept.When the people in Qin dynasty rase up, by the romantic spirit and covenant, many regionally groups were made and united. Leaders use political covenant again, to win the wars and to built a new hegemony system.When Han dynasty was built, it is a compound with both hegemony and empire. The emperpr used a covenant to rebuilt the relationship between him and his officials.While this empire got its end, people made covenant to find their position, but their covenant were deeply influenced by empire system.
