Study On Characteristic Of Music Record In Ming And Qing Dynasties

The Chinese ancient music became booming and prevalent during Ming and Qing dynasties. In this phase, music record had the most plentiful fruits compared with former dynasties. As an agglomeration, music record of Ming and Qing dynasties was an important part of music culture of that time.Music record of Ming and Qing dynasties can be classified into two categories, one is music score, the other is sound record.On the basis of relative researches and music materials, this thesis discusses the characteristics of the two categories from several views, studies the characteristic of spread of music record, and deduce the causes which engender these characteristics from the angles of society background, technology condition, musical development, cultural content, international communication, and so on. From these analyses above, this thesis makes knowledge of some questions as follows: the scales, categories, methods, ideas of the scores; the use and effect of sound record at the end of Qing dynasty; its historical situation; the intercourse and interaction of music record between China and the foreign countries; the relation between the music record and society culture, music art, the development of science and technology, and international pattern in Ming and Qing dynasties. By these researches, this thesis attempts to unfold the whole appearance of music record of Ming and Qing dynasties, get the further cognition of its achievements as well as the historical relations between music record and special culture background, so that we can obtain the entire understanding of music culture of Ming and Qing dynasties.
