Neo-Kantianism And The Transition Of Cultural Philosophy

The meaning of paradigm of philosophy is the basic thinking line of the rational analysis, reflection and critique in the philosophical investigation (including the history of philosophy and all kinds of philosophical topics). What it deals with is not only the object of philosophical research, but also its way. In the western philosophy, it has been two kinds of paradigm of philosophy: speculative philosophy aiming at seeking universal knowledge and cultural philosophy aiming at exploring the value and meaning. In other words, what the cultural philosophy does research on is the mechanism and the course of culture in the social fields, such as politics and economy, and the living way of human being. Moreover, its emergence overthrows the prevailing paradigm of speculative philosophy in the history of western philosophy. Therefore, the consciousness of cultural philosophy is an important transition of the modern philosophy development, in which Neo-Kantianism has played a great role. Beginning with the question of"value"which Neo-Kantianism is concerned with, the dissertation respectively examines the cultural thought of its major representatives such as Windelband, Rickert and Cassirer, and clarifies the theoretical clue of the transition of paradigm of philosophy finished by Neo-Kantianism, at the same time, deeply analyzes its contributions and limitations in contrast with the traditional speculative philosophy. On the basis of this, it reflects the profound transformation of the philosophical research method, the internal connection between cultural philosophy and Marxism, and the Chinese contemporary development of cultural philosophy.
