The Research Of Social Design Pattern

This article focuses on social design pattern. Resolving the social needs of the community can reflect the social obligation of design, and the method which can solve the problems in a specific environment is design pattern.Social design pattern is the design method which sloving social need under certain enviorment.With the pursuit of their own interests, human has formed the market design pattern which regards the commercial interests of the market as the supreme goal. The real needs of people and other social needs such as the sustainable development of human's society and environment have been neglected. The social design pattern is the method to solve social needs.In this paper, I analyze the social design pattern from three dimensions, including the concept, the theory and the practice of social design pattern.The concept of social design pattern performs as 'the thought of the social design' which requires comprehending the design activities more deeply and systematically. It is the attitude to the real needs of society, understanding of the nature of design. Furthermore, it is the guiding theory of social design practice, the program of summarizing design knowledge.The theory of social design pattern performs as 'the comprehension of social design pattern' which can be considerated from the social design's 'objectives', 'composition of system' and 'generated discourse background' and so on. The method of 'case study' carries out a comparative analysis at all stages of the design, providing a better comprehension of the nature of social design. And the method of 'systems theory' observes the relationship among the interrelated elements which constitutes the social design system, the systematic and complexity of the social design's objectives. Besides, the method of 'historical analysis' recovers the context of the social design's discourse, researches the practical meaning of the social design thought, discusses its connection with the economic, social and environmental factors. These methods applied throughout the course of the study, in order to clarify the nature of the social design. The practice of the social design pattern performs as an integrated design pattern based on local production and integrate the elements collected from all of production scales are able to benefit the sustainable development of both the enterprises and society. Through the framework coming from grounded theory, I accomplished my research with the combining of design practice and field research. Through the comparative analysis of products design features in different production scale, I explored the feasibility of the integrated design pattern for household products based on the thought of social design. Through analyzing the key stages of product design, I explored the feasibility of integrating the localization characteristics into integrated design pattern. Also through analyzing the elements which are beneficial for the sustainable development in the batch production, I clarified the specialized production scale in accordance with the requirements of integrated design patterns.
