A Study On The Panwen Of Tang Dynasty

This dissertation explores the types, origins, stylistic features, literary and cultural features of Panwen( award of judgement at the trial)in the Tang dynasty from the perspectives of stylistics, literature, culturology and philogy.In the introduction to this dissertation, the author mainly describes the research object and background, writing purpose, significance and method. The body text is divided into two parts. The first part, which is divided into three chapters, discusses several problems closely related to the Panwen in the Tang Dynasty. The first chapter examines the spreading and existing situations of Panwen literature in the Tang Dynasty. In Chapter Two the author explores the origins, types of Panwen in the Tang Dynasty and its main contents. Chapter Three focuses on the relationship between Panwen and the imperial examination in the Tang Dynasty. The second part, which consists of five chapters, specifically examines different types of Panwen literature. Chapter One discusses the total development and evolution of Panwen in the Tang Dynasty from the perspectives of the content and literature. Chapter Two, including five sections, deals with Panwen in The Cream of the Literary World, the first section analyzes the properties of the Panwen literature in The Cream of the Literary World; the second section analyzes and generalizes the content of thought on Panwen of The Cream of the Literary World, the third section is a discussion of the system characteristics of Panwen in The Cream of the Literary World, the fourth section analyzes cultural features of The Cream of the Literary World, and the fifth section discusses the literariness of Panwen in The Cream of the Literary World. In Chapter Three the author examines Dragon's Muscles and Phoenix's Marrow Verdict, of which the first section discusses the properties of Dragon's Muscles and Phoenix's Marrow Verdict, the second section discusses the constitutional characteristics of Long Jin Feng Sui Pan, the third section discusses the theme and content of Dragon's Muscles and Phoenix's Marrow Verdict and the fourth section discusses the literary features of Dragon's Muscles and Phoenix's Marrow Verdict. Chapter Four discusses Bai Juyi's Baidao Pan, the first section discusses the relationship between Baipan and imperial examination, the second section analyzes and generalizes the content of thought in Bai Juyi's Panwen and the third section discusses the literary and cultural values of Bai Juyi's Panwen. Chapter Five is the special study on the Dunhuang Panwen literature, the first section deals with several existing complete collected works on the actual Panwen and the second section discusses the judicial simulating Panwen in Incomplete Collections on the Civilized Panwen. Chapter Six deals with the Panwen in notes and varied books written by the people in the Tang dynasty (including Five Dynasties), the first section discusses the types of Panwen in the notes and varied books, the second section discusses the constitutional characteristics and content features and the third section discusses the literary features and the literary values of Panwen.
