A Study On Zhang Bin's Thoughts Of Grammar

Mr Zhang Bin is one of the Top Eight Linguists of Contemporary Chinese, was the initiator of Ternate Complanate Theory of Chinese Syntax Research. Since from 1950's, he has been working in this area and has a big impact home and abroad. Mr. Zhang Bin is famous for his ingoing academic thought and keen analysis. He has been able to provide newly exploration and product, and keep leAding in this field at each critical moment of the academic development. In my paper, I tried to blend Mr. Zhang Bin and his syntax program into the historic and realistic academic background, and then researched and studied the building and characteristic of Mr. Zhang Bin's syntax thoughts. Emphasis were placed on the following areas to indicate Mr.Zhang Bin's rational characteristic and contemporary significance of syntax thought, based on today's theoretical height. To do the research on the basis of contemporary syntax research, is what I have been pursuing.1.For the Vocabulary Class, I mainly studied the further explanation and development, the different views on " Vocabulary Syntax" which is popular in 1960's, as well as the difference from Mr. Zhu De Xi, in terms of Inter-class of vocabulary.2.For the sentence analysis, I mainly studied Mr. Zhang Bin's alcaic analysis and its academic background at different times as well as the significance of academic and reality of "Modifier impacts no sentence"3. For Ternate Complanate Theory, I believe Mr. Zhang Bin proposed this ideas which was based on semeiology of overseas academy as well as Chinese alcaic analysis evolvement. In 1980, Mr. Zhang Bin and Mr. Hu Yu Shu studied more on the methodology of Ternate Complanate Theory.4. For classification, I emphasized two difference. In terms of the classification syntax, it needs to differ the basis from standard. In terms of syntax analysis, it needs to differ the alcaic analysis from sentence analysis.In addition to the above, I also described Mr. Zhan Bin's phrase research, sentence understanding strategy, lingual structure of metrics poem, Rhythm restricts Syntax and How the Poetic Rhythm presents, identification and re-classification on lingual unit and the writing and practice of "Contemporary Chinese", and finally analyse where was Mr. Zhang Bin's thought and came to the conclusion the characteristic of Mr. Zhang Bin's syntax research..In a word, Mr. Zhang Bin advocated to develop the tradition, succeed to the creation, solicit the ideas for our own reference. These enable him to possess wide academic vision, measure up to the real Chinese, so that he was able to contribute his share in blending Chinese syntax theory into western one, absorbing the traditional syntax soul, developing the new picture of Chinese syntax.
