The Yun-nan province has been given high attention through the entire Yuan Dynasty, which can be seen through the way of enfeoffment. The Yun-nan province, as well as the Mongolia metropolitan territory, was enfeoffed to one of the most intimate princes. So the system of prince administration, together with the system of province administration came to be an integral pant of the political history of Yun-nan province in Yuan Dynasty. In early Ming Dynasty, the emperors had always tried to set up a system of enfeoffment, while given it up finally every time. In middle Ming Dynasty, the emperors set up a system of eunuch administration in stead of a system of enfeoffment in Yun-nan province.The thesis tries to set out systematically and in detail about the vicissitudes of the prince administration in historical order, by textual research on the alternation of the ruling princes and their activities, mainly of the Prince Yun-nan and the Prince Liang in Yuan Dynasty, and of the Prince Jinjiang, Prince Zhou, Prince Min and Prince Runan in Ming Dynasty. It also exposes every phrase and characteristic of the development of the prince administration in Yun-nan province during Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty, and analyses its prolonged relationship with province administration. Based on the above study, finally, the thesis expound why the prince administration of Yun-nan play an important role in the political history of Yuan Dynasty while does not of Ming Dynasty.Meanwhile, by comprehensively grisping the researching results by predecessors, by utilizing the material in books of Gao-li shih, Nan-yi shu, Ming shi-lu, Yan-shan-tang bieji and so on , and by comparing the local historic books with the scupture relics, the thesis tries to fill a vacancy or correct some mistakes found in the historical remarks on the issue of enfeoffment among princes in Yun-nan province in Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty, and on the issue of the administrative eunuchs of Yun-nan province in Ming Dynasty. The thesis tries to further the discussion about some issues, such as the deeds of the Prince Yu Aratnasiri, the pedigree of the Prince Liang Bolad as well as his blood relationship with the Prince Liang Vajravarmi, and the dividing of their ruling years. The thesis also tries to further the discussion about the deeds of the Princes Jinjiang Zhu Shouqian, Prince Zhou Zhu Su, Prince Min Zhu Pian and Prince Runan Zhu Youxunand the administrative eunuchs in Yun-nan province in Ming Dynasty etc.
