Mongolian Long Novels With History Subject And Mongolian People's Historical Awareness

There appeared a writing flow with history subject in long novels in Mongolian Literary History in 80's and 90's of 20th century. Corresponding with the "scar literature" and "reflection literature", a big number of excellent long novel with history subject emerged and made up a large area of literature space, giving people a sense of prosperity in a period of time. A minority's survival danger, worries for its own cultural identity and a long for its national glory have become the inner reason of the prosperity. And the western "New Historicism" theory and influence of Chinese "searching for root literature" have become the outside reason of their fast development. These two reasons increased the historical recognition of Mongolian people's " seeking for revelation" in history and fastened the further development of those long novels.This paper has chosen 37 writers'43 pieces of long novel as its research subject. Those were published in Mongolian language in public during the time between 1984 and 2008 in the history of Mongolian literature of China. The paper systematically analyses the historical narrative of long novels in the research area. It mainly studies about how Mongolian writers treat their own national history in different history background, how they state about the history and how they get the readers'acknowledgement in the process of creating national history. And it also finds out the Mongolian minority's traditional historical awareness embodied in history statement.The paper is consisted of prefix, body and summary three parts. In the body part, first the paper states about Mongolian people's historical awareness of respecting the royal Khan in long novels with subject of Mongolian Emperor such as Genghis Khan's feat history. Next, it states about their historical consciousness of supporting good leaders in novels with subject of Mongolian noble family's destiny. Then it narrates about the historical awareness of their relieve from the religious culture in novels with subject of Saman and Lama history. Last, it states about their historical awareness of worshipping heroes in novels with the history subject of heroes in uprising.From the above contents, the long novels with Mongolian contemporary history subject are Mongolian people's retrospect of the past history and carrier of modern historical awareness.
