The aestheticization of the political is to review the political with an aesthetic attitude so as to be qualified judgers when we face the political, only in this way can we return the real politics of the Greek and realize the realm of freedom. The aestheticization of the political is to understand Arendt's political philosophy from a new viewpoint and latitude, and it is the summary of Arendt's unsystematic political philosophy. On the one hand, it is the inevitable result of the development of Arendt's political philosophy; on the other hand, it embodies Arendt's political appeal and humane care. The primary concern of this paper is to answer how the political can be aestheticized, that is, the legitimacy of the aestheticization of the political. In the Preface, I will prove it from the three aspects that"Arendt's Political Viewpoint","Arendt's Political Appeal"and"the Generalized Nature between the Aesthetic Judgment and the Political Judgment". Speech, Action and Public Realm are the keywords to understand Arendt's political viewpoint; Totalitarianism, Anti-Semitism and Judging are the keywords to understand Arendt's political experience and political appeal; Common Sense, Enlarged Mentality and Exemplary Validity are the keywords to understand the generalized nature between the aesthetic judgment and the political judgment. From the three aspects mentioned above, we learn that the aestheticization of the political has its reality possibility and theory inevitability. In chapter 1, I will prove the reality possibility of the aestheticization of the political from the three aspects that"Arendt's Era and Era's Arendt","Arendt's Interpretation of Marx'Political Viewpoint"and"the Banality of Evil". The reality possibility of the aestheticization of the political clues to Arendt's focus and reflection of the reality, including Totalitarianism and Anti-Semitism in The Origin of Totalitarianism, Arendt's research on Marx'political viewpoint in Karl Marx and the Tradition of Western Political Thought, and Arendt's research on the banality of evil in Eichmann in Jerusalem A Report on the Banality of Evil.In chapter 2, I will prove the theory inevitability of the aestheticization of the political from the three aspects that"Vita Active: Arendt's Political Viewpoint","Unwritten Wonderful Work"and"The Aestheticization of the Political". The theory inevitability of the aestheticization of the political is firstly on Arendt's understanding of the political. Secondly, we learn that thinking, willing and judging are the abilities of everyone rather than the philosophers only. Arendt find the possible conditions of practical judgment and political judgment from Kant's aesthetic judgment, and then she constructs her own political judgment. In chapter 3, I will analysis the content of the aestheticization of the political from the four aspects that"Review the Political with Contemplative Pleasure","Understand the Political without Concept","Participate the Political without a Purpose"and"Practice the Political with the Common Sense". The reason that aesthetic judgment applies to the political judgment is that it attends to the particularity of man, it recognizes the diversity of man, and it seeks the basis for public communication. Firstly, we survey the common explanation of aesthetic judgment from Kant's Quality, Quantity, Relationship and Mode. Then, we demonstrate the applications of the four aspects to the political and we point out the significances of its applications. The dark times that Arendt lived is already far away from us, but it gives us a new beginning and hope. The most precious gift that Arendt gives us is her political philosophy and the understanding, the hope and the expectation that her political philosophy tells us. We learn from her political philosophy that we should keep our judgment, we should abide by our own conscience and we should keep our hope and illumination under no circumstances.
