Research On Hanna Arendt’s Political Thought

The dilemma of politics and the problems brought by the development of modernity in the 20 th century give the world’s people space to ponder.What is the essence of politics? How do you choose to save totalitarian politics? How to judge the political events and experiences? What should real political life be like? How to realize this kind of political life...Thinking about this series of questions can be found in Arendt’s political thoughts.In order to save the politics of the twentieth century,Arendt chose a republican road based on inheriting and surpassing classical republicanism.She believes that real political life should be a life of active action and political freedom in the public sphere,which requires plural people to act actively and show themselves through communication with others to participate in public affairs.Finally realize political freedom,and then lead a real political life.Arendt believes that the judgment of political events and political experience is a special judgment on special thinking.Therefore,she explores and puts forward the theory of political judgment to realize the judgment of political experience.Therefore,from the political predicament,Arendt’s political thought puts forward the republican ideal of political vision through political thinking and political judgment.In today’s world,the exploration and thought of political thought,the attention and pursuit of political life,the concern and active participation in public affairs,and the construction and perfection of public domain have been paid more and more attention.As a female philosopher,Arendt’s unique Jewish experience,background and academic thought influenced her deeply,which made her analyze politics in the dark era,dare to face the political experience at that time,express different opinions,form different ways of political thought and thinking,and leave a rich ideological heritage and unique way of thinking for future generations.From the starting point of reflecting on the predicament of politics,Arendt thinks and explores politics,which presents us with the vision of republicanism.This article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter traces the origin of Arendt’s political thought,including Heidegger,Jaspers,Marx,and Kant.The second chapter is the exploration and interpretation of Arendt’s political thought content,including political dilemma,political thinking,political exploration and political vision.The third chapter is the evaluation of Arendt’s political thought,which consists of Arendt’s misunderstanding of Marx,reflection on Arendt’s theory of public domain from Marx’s public thought and reflection on Arendt’s political thought from historical materialism.
