Socialist Spiritual Civilization, Research, And Quality Education

The economy based on innovative knowledge is an important direction in the future of the world. Knowledge and talents, the quality and innovative ability of the nation more and more represent the comprehensive national power of a country, and what more, they become a key factor that drives or restricts economic growth and social development. In the contemporary world, the competition of economic and comprehensive national power of a country, in essence, is the competition of science and technology and the quality of the nation. The comprehensive national power mainly refers to economic strength, technological strength, but this cannot be separated from spiritual strength. Whether a people is highly motisated spiritually, is an important criterion for measuring the strength of a nation. Therefore, the research in quality education is on the rise in the world. In 1986, The Resolution on the Guidelines of the Development of Socialist Culture and Ideology (the Central Committee of Communist Party of China) emphasizes that education plays an important role in raising the quality of the people and accelerating the construction of material and spiritual civilization in a society. he quality of people is the product of history. Making great efforts to improve the quality of all citizens is bound to raise social productivity continuously, to improve the new kind of relationship between persons based on the public-owned system , and change profoundly the spiritual life of the entive society. This is the prerequisite for success in our socialist modernization construction. What can be seen as a breakthrouth in this dissertation is that it tries to explore the connotation and means of quality education against the background of the development of socialist culture and ideology, more fully embody characteristics of China and Marxist basic principle for Communism that one person should develop in a free and all-round way. Therefore, developing socialist culture and ideology should regard raising indicidual overall quality as the ultimategral, bringing up people idea and moral as the core, developing culture, education and science and technology as the basis. In a word, the development of socialist culture and ideology and the quality education is the modernization of human himself. Carrying out quality education must realize the sustainable development of socialist culture and ideology, that is to say, the free and all-round development of the indicidual is the ultimate objective of the development of socialist culture and ideology and quality education. Due to the scarcity of the existing theoretical framework in the field, some patterns mentioned in the dissertation are to be tested through practice. So continuing the research is significant.
