This paper examines the operational patterns of the Communist Party of China from history and contemporary perspectives. 1.The writing purposeStudies on the operational patterns of the Communist Party of China are a new subject. Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the operational patterns of the communist party has been significantly transformed to some different extent from macro-scope to microcosmic. However, these changes cannot completely adapt to the developing situation. So we need to summarize them in order to adapt to the needs of the society and fulfill the objective of the party. Also, theories about the operational patterns of the party are very scarce. The writer attempts to analyze the historical development and contemporary problems of the operational patterns of the party, examines the rules behind them, and provides an analytical framework for the theory of the operational patterns of the party. 2. The main contentsIn the first chapter, the paper defines and illuminates the concept of the operational patterns. The operational patterns of the party include a series of means, measures and forms that are used by the party to obtain its purposes. They also refer to the model of organizational collective behavior that is used by the party to motivate and utilize all kinds of resource for its striving objectives. The operational patterns of the party are limited by the inter-party environment as well as social environment which consists of social support groups, political system and political culture and so on. The operational patterns of the party cover different aspects of national and social life. This paper focuses on the development of the operational patterns of the party in terms of party versus state and party versus society. In the second chapter, the writer mainly analyzes the evolution of the operational patterns of the communist party of China in order to explain that the operational patterns are products of historical and social situation and to lay the basis for illuminating the changes of the operational patterns of the party since reform and opening. There were different operational patterns during the different historical period of the communist party of China. The operational patterns of the party should be changed according to the need of the society. Or they will lead to negative effects. For example, under the unitary leadership system, the party controlled everything and the first secretary decided everything, which were the result of particular conditions and played an important role in the past. Nowadays, this operational pattern of the party can't adapt to the need of the society. The third chapter summarizes the evolutions and innovations of the operational patterns of the party since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The emphasis lies on impacts and challenges faced by the operational patterns of the party in the context of reform and opening and the building of the socialist market economy. The writer does her best to answer practical problems. In the fourth chapter, the writer argues that the party can draw experiences and lessons from other parties because of globalization and the development of market economy. For example, we can learn from the experience of good governance based on "socialization of the power". The operational patterns of the party should be decentralized, democratic and rule of law and the operational patterns of the different levels of the party should focus on service, interaction and rule of law. The application of concrete methods and ways should be accordance to the progress of science and technology.
