Diverse Technical Development Driving Force

The dissertation of Study on Technology-driving Force has studied the history of technology development, which has spanned thousands of years in the world, and the climaxes of technology development have been considered as seven technology revolutions. In this paper, the features, dominating technical group and technology core countries/regions of each revolution have been identified. Based on the previous analysis, various causes of eachrevolution, which could be attributed to environment fields andtechnology-economy wheel, have been discussed. By this attribution, theauthor has not only positively proved the interchanging of primary andsecondary functions of the technology-driving forces, but also made aprimary exploration to the technology-driving forces from theoreticalperspective. In addition, the author has made some efforts in figuring outthe main obstacles in technology development at the present stage of China,as well as the causes leading to the gradual falling of technology development after Song Dynasty in China, the technical achievements and disadvantages after the foundation of P. R. China in 1949. In this context, the author finally proposed, from the perspective of technology-driving forces, the enlightenment to technology development strategy of China at present stage. That is the necessity of integrating technology development strategy and carrying out institutional or cultural innovations.
