In this paper, the author attempts to establish the theoretical system of economic sustainable development through analyzing the interaction relationship among the factors and economic growth. And, on the basis of this established system, the author makes complete and deep positive analysis of the sustainability of economic growth in China.The context consists of two parts. In the first part including chapterl and chapter 2, the author mainly discusses the ideological source of economic sustainable development. In the second part including chapter 3, chapter 4, chapter 5 and chapter 6, the author establishes the theoretical system of economic sustainable development. The first chapter is the review of the modern economic development theory. The author outlines the main contents of the growth theory and the development economy, and compares their similarities and differences in the respects of research ideology and the methods. Form the point of economic sustainable development, the author points out their deficiencies.The second chapter is the source of economic sustainable development, which is consists of four aspects: philosophy to Nature of Marxism, modern economic development theory, ethnics of zoology and the theory of the limit to growth. The third chapter is the basic system of economic sustainable development. First, the author reviews the study on sustainable development in recent years, and then sets forth the analysis structure of economic sustainable development from the theoretical precondition, analysis point of view, and research method. The fourth chapter is population, human capital and economic sustainable development. The author mainly discusses the interactive relations between economic sustainable development and population and human capital respectively. First, from three aspects of quantity, quality and structure of population, the author explains the economic affects of their change and brings forward the framework of optimum population of sustainable development. Second, along the Lucas and Becker's models, the author set up a model to reflect contribution of the human capital accumulation to sustainable growth of economy. Finally, in the positive analysis, the author makes use of cointegration and ECM models to study the short and long run relationship amongthe population, human capital and economic growth in China. The fifth chapter is environment, resource and economic sustainable development. From the point of sustainability, the author reevaluates the important roles of environment and resource to the economic development. In the theoretical analysis, regarding the environment as an endogenous variable, the author brings forth an endogenous growth model to probe into the conditions to realizing the sustainable and optimum growth path. In the positive analysis, the author uses the traditional and modern econometric techniques respectively to analyze the environmental restricts in the course of sustainable growth of economy in China.The sixth chapter is innovation and economic sustainable development. The author adopts the concept of innovation which was advanced by Schumpeter to deeply discuss the important roles of the technical innovation and institutional innovation to the economic growth, and explain the contribution of the two kinds of innovation to sustainable growth of economy in China.
