On The Subject Of Democracy

On the base of discussing the fundamental theory about democratic subject that is a vital role to democratic politics, the dissertation puts stress on the features of democratic subjects relating to politics-democratization in contemporary China. As a result of this, the dissertation has the conclusion that it is because most of the democratic subjects lack the democratic quality, which is due to the features of democratic subjects, that the development of democratic politics is seriously delayed. Therefore the dissertation warns us that the democratic subjects must be mainly focused on in the course of politics-democratization, and it holds that only if the democratic subjects firstly acquire the democratic quality, i.e. only if democratic subjects' democratization is firstly realized by means of educating, can politics's democratization be realized in China.In addition, the meaning of democracy, which is attached to the theme of this dissertation and has been debated in theory for long time, and some questions about democratization are newly expounded in the beginning of this dissertation.
