Study On Bribery

Bribery, just like embezzlement, has been an ancient guilty. In terms of the regulations of bribery,"Tang Lv Shu Yi"is the typical representative in the historical Chinese criminal laws. In"Tang Lv Shu Yi", guilty of bribery has been categorized in detail and scientific regulations on penalty are presented. The regulations on bribery in it can be called as model among the other ancient criminal laws. Since the foundation of PRC, our regulations on bribery have undergone a long way. Originally, bribery and embezzlement were mixed together, and later they were separated. The regulations on bribery have gradually become more definite and specific, more reasonable and scientific. Based on the analysis of China's legislative variation of bribery, a comparison is made between the regulations in China and abroad. The traits of bribery are defined and the regulations on bribery in continental nations and Anglo-American nations are also elaborated. The elaboration and summery of the categories, definition and common features of bribery in those nations may help us to have a better understanding on bribery.Since the promulgation of new criminal law, the subject of bribery has changed.
