Challenge And Response

Social democracy is an important ideology system, social movement and system pattern in the world. It has been developed for more than 100 years and acquired tremendous achievements. Why social democracy can keep bloom? The answer is that it can fellow the epoch betimes and adjust itself pat. My paper is just about the adjustment and transformation of social democracy. In my study, I place the emphasis on "the Third Way" in the 1990's and construct a study model. The model is "politics theory-politics creed-idiographic policies- -effect estimation". I exert the model in the research of "the Third Way". So far, this model is a newer method in the study of social democracy.In my first chapter, I analyze the development of social democracy in historical angel. I consider social democracy has been experienced three great transformations during its developing course. I introduce the circs of these three transformations in detail and discuss "the Third Way" in the next sections principally.In the second chapter, I introduce the most important background of "the ThirdWay"—the globalization. Then I discuss the relationship between "the Third Way"and the globalization thoroughly. I introduce the main standpoints of "the Third Way" briefly and indicate the main differences among the old Left, the new Right and "the Third Way". Next, in the third chapter, the forth chapter, the fifth chapter and the sixth chapter, I originally analyze the value system reform, the organization system reform, the reign mode reform and the welfare system reform correspondingly by using the study model. The four aspects bring the greatest significance and impact during the transformation of social democracy. With the research, I try hard to bring forth the panorama of social democracy's transformation more particularly. At the same time, I also wish people to be clear at a glance about the limitation of social democracy after reading my paper.The most important purpose of studying social democracy and capitalism is to develop our scientific socialism well. We realize that Chinese can learn a lot of useful things form social democracy. This helps us quicken socialism modernization. However, there are many fundamental differences between scientific socialism and social democracy. We also must have our heads screwed on the right way.
