In the contemporary world, science and technology is changing with each passing day and the competition of national power is violent day by day. After entering the 21st century, the economy globalization and education internationalization have become the trend of the world. Therefore, it is a fashion to attach importance to knowledge and talented people. With China's successful accession to WTO and acceleration of integration between China and the global economy, one of the urgent tasks which Chinese education is confronted with is how to face WTO and to train innovative talented people who can fit in with the social development in politics and economy of the new century. Since the reform and open policy, the elementary education in our country has got a lot of gratifying achievements. However, compared with other countries in the world, the present elementary education of our country still can't meet the need of the social development. So the reform of the elementary education is under the circumstance.In recent years, all countries over the world have been regarding the reform of elementary educational curriculum as strategy of strengthening national power and accumulating future competitive power. As a result, it becomes our prominent task to give energetic adjustment to the curriculum systems, formations and contents of elementary education, and construct new curriculum systems that can be keeping with quality education. For this reason, under the guidance of Marxism, according to the reality of our country, by means of documental methods, comparative methods, investigative methods, and historical studies, the paper analyses and studies some new educational and instructional ideas which are implied in the newcurriculum reform of our elementary education in many ways, and explains some concrete strategies of teaching innovation systematically as well.The current thesis is divided into seven parts.Part I expounds the fundamental connotation of teaching innovation in details, summarizing the principles and the characteristics which we should obey in the course of teaching innovation.Part II probes into the origins and developments of idea and educational idea, analyses some brand-new educational ideas the present new curriculum implies, and suggests quite a few more scientific innovative assumptions on how to embody these new ideas in the course of teaching.Part III lays particular emphasis on the fundamental connotation of teaching objectives. It also makes a detailed research and puts forward some problems that have existed in traditional teaching objectives. In accordance with these problems, linking with the requirements of the new curriculum, the thesis also raises the author's own suggestions about how to put teaching objectives into effect.Part IV systematically analyses the problems and reasons that have lain in the traditional teaching contents and concretely produces some innovative strategies on how to overcome these problems.Part V starting with some problems in traditional teaching methods, the thesis makes a thorough inquiry about how to carry out the innovation of teaching methods.Part VI probes into the innovation of teaching evaluation in view of teachers and students. The thesis points out that we should put emphasis on the development evaluation rather than the final stage.Part VII systematically summarizes the whole paper and makes some prospects for the teaching innovation.
