From Reform and Opening up, the research results of the basic theory of education are distinguished. At the same time, a great deal of problems exists. In the view of this, it is very essential that the achievement and thinking of the educational basic theories of the past 30 years be summed up and sorted out. That is to find the issues among them, excavate the deep way of theories evolution, reflect on the precondition of the educational basic theory, and explore the valuable theory ideas for the further development.The author regards the educational theories in the academic papers of the magazines including Education Research, Journal of East China Normal University( Educational Science Edition), Journal of Beijing Normal University( Philosophy and Social Science Edition), Journal of Education, Journal of the Chinese Society of Education as research objects, and expert the analysis of them on the position of epistemology. The analyzed problem as below: how are a large number of theoretical research results classified on the educational basic theory? How are these ideas evaluated according to the theoretical statements on the positions of epistemology? Is it possible to get the basic standard of the appropriate position after synthesis analysis? And what can be done to get the improvement through the external system construction?From the primary points of this dissertation, the appropriate position is to aim at the problem-solving and notice the consequences when the basic theory of education stands on the promises of itself.Firstly, basic theory of education must respect the characteristics of educational practice as the universal and theoretical knowledge. Although it is rational universally, the function of basic theory of education facing educational practice depends on educational practice itself. The characteristics of the educational practice determine that the epistemological position of the basic theory of education should be changed from rationality toward situated rationality when it affects educational practice.Secondly, the visual angle of the basic theory of education must be changed from external perspective of a bystander to the internal perspective, when the basic theory of education figures the educational world and brings forward world view of education. The question that the basic theory should answer is not to watch the educational world for the eternal world views on education, but to offer the view how we coordinate our relations with the "education world."Again, the progress of the methodology reflection about educational research is embodied in not only formal aspects driven by methodology, but also integration with problem and methodology in order that the methodology reflection should target and achieve the commitment of knowledge ontology.Finally, the paper presents the knowledge production mechanism should changed from planning to freedom on the external systems in order to achieve the appropriate epistemology position as problem pertinence and awareness of the consequences...
