Stage Characteristics Of The Evolution Of Thoughts On Wushu Of Modern China

Thought is the result of thinking. People's social existence determines a people's thinking. To study the development of Wushu and the evolution of causes since modern times in the ideological level will be favor to reveal the deep-seated problems encountered in the reform and development of contemporary Wushu. Since ideology is the rational knowledge of core value, the development and evolution thoughts on Wushu in history are often rooted in the changes of value orientation. The study aims to reveal the difference of understanding the values of Wushu and the different types of these values. Literature review, survey, historical method, comparison, and other research methods were used according to the order of time to study the values of Wushu in phases from three dimensions, property value, functional value, and value of cultural implications. Characteristics of the evolution of Wushu thoughts were thoroughly inspected in various periods based on the core value of the Wushu, which provides new perspectives on the development and theoretical research of modern Wushu. The results show that:1. It is an effective way to stage the modern Wushu ideological evolution from the perspective of value orientation. It is a more clear way portraying stage features of the development of Wushu in more than 100 years. Six stages are as following: stage of Chivalrous Sentiment, stage of Warrior Thoughts, stage of Sport Wushu, stage of National Spirit, stage of Olympic Wushu, and stage of Humanities Wushu. This provides a new perspective to sort out the power of China's modern Wushu ideological evolution, and through this perspective, we can further study the origin of current problems of Wushu and the future development of Wushu.2 Evolution of thoughts on Wushu is determined by society reform. Wushu thinking is a kind of social consciousness. As a social consciousness, its occurrence and development roots in the social existence, the colorful social life. After reviewing the six stages of modern Wushu ideological evolution, we can see that it follows in the steps of China's modern social, political, and economic development. Each reform of Wushu thoughts reflects the change of China society.3 Cultural implications of value is the core value of the Wushu. Carrying a profound traditional culture in the long history, Chinese Wushu extends to spread by its logic development. Whether in the stage of Chivalrous Sentiment in late Qing Dynasty and the stage of Warrior Thoughts in the period of Republic of China, or in the stage of National Spirit in the popularity of Wushu and the stage of Humanities Wushu in 21st century, the essence is the reflection of the true value of Wushu. The difference lies in the culture loads in different history period. The founding of the stage of Sport Wushu in early 1950s, which is out of traditional Wushu cultural implications, with the support of the stage of Olympic Wushu, resulted in the fundamental fission of Wushu culture in the late half century. The traditional cultural is excluded and the traditional technical skills changed. That's the problem of modern Wushu.4 Diversified value orientations can effectively promote the healthy development of Wushu. Through the evolution of modern Wushu, we clearly recognize that various value orientation of Wushu is the prosperity of Wushu development. On the contrary, the problem of Wushu shows in the single value stage of Wushu. The cultural implications of value, functional value, and attribute value constitute the value system of Chinese Wushu, which are mutually independent and integrated. Among them, cultural implication of the value system is the core value and is the origin of other two values. And it is also others objective. Attribute value is the value of the performance and is vivid manifestation of other values. Function value is the connection of cultural implication of value and the function value. The value system of Wushu is solid and integrated because of the presence of function value. However, diversification does not mean that the average and constant development of each value, it means to co-ordinate the development of each one. Coordination here means "Harmony" and "Domino effect".5 The value orientation of 21st century is thinking of Wushu humanities. In the time of pursuing humanistic spirit, people-centered should be the core thoughts of understanding and practice of Wushu. As the carrier of traditional Chinese culture, the profound value of Wushu is to meet the fundamental needs of human being, which is the truth that everyone is pursuing. In a word, Humanities Wushu is the goal of human society and the characteristic of civilization progress.
