Chinese Wushu,just like a brilliant pearl,has gone through wind and rain for thousands of years,but it gives out more and more brilliance which is due to the huge foundation of Chinese civilization.And Chinese fighting art,rooted in Chinese civilization,which aims at“saving life”,“protecting life”,“preserving health”and“harmonizing life”,constantly pursues the value of life,develops Chinese national spirit of“self-improvement”,“worshiping the virtues”,and continue to displays one heroic epic of tremendous momentum.From the perspective of combination of macro-micro approach,following the ideological clue of“life is beauty”,employing the Marxist aesthetics as a guide,it intends to expound the traditional Chinese aesthetic yi-xiang(image) theory.Then taking Western culture for reference,borrowing from Chinese classical dance,drama, painting and other art-related ideas,the thesis carries out a research on Wushu from multi-dimension.Tracing the history footsteps of Chinese Wushu lies in“overlooking”a general picture of Chinese aesthetic thought;taking Chinese aesthetic yi-xiang(image) theory as a“melting pot”aims at“forging”aesthetic yi-xiang(image) of Chinese Wushu; drawing the essence from Western semiotics,from the external boxing posture,action name,Wushu imagery,text interpretation and so on,it analyzes the implication of aesthetic thought involving“imitating nature”,Wushu’s state and personality state.“Harmony between form and spirit”and“form transmits spirit”are the important ideas of Chinese traditional aesthetics,the evaluation criteria of the Chinese art,the practice rules of Wushu,which reflect not only the aesthetic pursuit of Chinese culture,but also the aesthetic ideal of Wushu’s skills.Modern Wushu,as an entity of aesthetic thought,it ranges from the external“form”involving“body structure”and“action rhythm”to the potential“power”including“strength”,“Jin”,“static potential power”,“active potential power”and“momentum”;then from“smart”,“skillful”,“flexible”,and“variable”of Wushu’s techniques to the ultimate“spirit”of Wushu’s action.Harmony concept of Chinese culture becoming the main thyme of the times promotes the harmony between people and society,enhances the humanistic spirit of Wushu,and refines“Wushu moral”including gentleness(“Benevolence”) and strength("xia-yi").Actually,the thought of "Benevolence" focuses on the general moral standards while "xia-yi" spirit values the noble character,explores the origin of life implied in the lifespan but it is beyond the lifespan,senses the "xia-yi-yi-xiang" (xia-yi image) hidden in the people’s deep mind,and masters the spirit concept and survival strategy of Wushu.In the context of globalization,the nationality based on the Chinese nation’s aesthetic taste including "Qi becomes one,cultivate emotion and character",“harmony between form and spirit,pay more attention to the spirit than form”,“strengthening harmony,weakening competition”and“yi-xiang(image) thinking, skill and Dao unite into one”,highlights the main characteristics of the aesthetic thought of Chinese Wushu,which is particularly important in the process of internationalization in the modern Wushu.Meanwhile,it shows the aesthetic thought characteristics of Chinese Wushu including the times,the permeability and the stability,which are respectively based on the aesthetic value,the harmonious development thought and pursuing life value.
