A Research On The Group Political Psychology Of Contemporary College Students: Based On The History And Reality

Currently, China is in a stage of particular social structural change, i.e. the stage of social transformation, which results in the transformation of political psychology. The transformation of political psychology is an important part of social transformation. However, the transformation of political psychology, which is sometimes lag, is more difficult than that of the material society, thus deserves particular attention.The status and improvement of the political psychology among college students closely related to the stability and development of Socialist Democracy, the improvement of the political quality of college students, as well as their comprehensive development. In college education, it is of vital importance to be aware of the specificity and importance of the construction of the political psychology among college students, to analyse the effects and factors of the construction systematically, to make clear the goals and contents of the construction, and to propose concrete methods to optimize the construction.This thesis intends to place college students as a particular social group in the historical background of social transformation. Through a contrastive study of the past situations in different social stages and a research on current situations, it explores the historical evolution and current characteristics of the group political psychology of college students in China, and analyses the underlying causes. In addition, the author proposes some constructive suggestions, considering the contemporary practices of the Socialist Democracy and Socialist Political Ideology.This thesis contains the following six parts:Part one is introduction. It introduces the background of the research topic selection, the significance of the study, the basic ideas and core concepts as well as research methods. It also combs and comments the related literature reviews, setting the theoretical framework of this research.Part two is Chapter I. In this part, the writer carries out studies concerning political psychology of contemporary college students from the diachronic perspective to study the historical changes. The third part (Chapter Two), based on the basic analytical framework of the political psychology of college students, tries to study and analyze the political psychology of the so-called "after 80", "90 after" generation from an empirical point of view. Specific study is conducted on the political understanding, political will, political feelings and attitudes, political evaluation and motivation of the current new generation of college students, based on which the basic structure and characteristics of political psychology for the current generation college students are further analyzed.The fourth part studies binding conditions of the changes for the political psychology of contemporary college student from the perspective of macro social environmental factors and micro physical and emotional characteristics of college students. Social environment and system under the condition of social changes includes changes in economic life, social structure changes, the transformation of the political system as well as secular and multi-cultural life. The ideological and political education, which is directly related to the shape of political psychology of college students, promotes changes of the political psychology of contemporary college students on the one hand, while on the other hand, it intertwines and conflicts with the micro physical and mental factors of college students, thus bringing discomfort, collisions and confusions. The situation above made it necessary for us to exert further thinking on the inner system of the changes of political psychology of the contemporary college students.Part Five (Chapter Four), starting from the impact of political psychology of contemporary college students on the socialist political civilization construction, discusses the relationship between the political psychology of college students and political stability as well as political development. On the basis of this, goals and paths for the sound development of college students'political psychology are put forward with the height of political civilization construction.The final part is conclusion, which summarizes and refines on the full text, draws conclusions, and offers implement and further thinking on the value of study concerning the political psychology of college students.
